FORMER WORLD CHAMP JOINS 70TH Former World Sidecar Champion Mick Headland with local passenger Brenton Kerr in the chair have confirmed there participation in the Gates Sidecar Cup in conjunction with the 70th Anniversary meeting at Olympic Park Speedway on Sunday November the 5th. Headland is sidecar roylaty in Australia having won two World Championships and winning multiuple major sidecar events all around Australia. Headland’s all action style is a treat to watch and is a…lways up the pointy end of the field around Olympic Park having won many sidecar events in Mildura such as the Sidecar Spectacular. Headland joins Shane Hudson, Mark Plaisted, Byren Gates, Neale Hancock and Clint Mayes as confirmed starters for the Inagural Gates Sidecar Cup with spots limited to 12 outfits.
The Gates Sidecar Cup will be run in conjunction with the Gt Windscreens Phil Crump International Solo Trophy with World Championship leader Jason Doyle, Australian Champion Sam Masters and local Australian nuumber two Justin Sedgmen all on the program.
