TWO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS for AUSTRALIA

A massive last eight days in October 2015 will see two World Speedway Championships decided in Australia for the very first time:

Saturday 24th October – FIM WORLD SPEEDWAY GRAND PRIX, Final round, at Etihad

                            Stadium, Melbourne

Saturday 31st October – FIM TEAM SPEEDWAY UNDER 21 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP – FINAL

                             at Olympic Park Speedway, Mildura

1. SGP – Final round:

See the 2015 World Speedway Champion crowned at Etihad Stadium, Melbourne on Saturday 24th October from amongst the best riders in the World.

2. FIM Team Speedway Under 21 World Championship – Final

See the World’s best three Under 21 teams come to Mildura, Victoria, Australia, to fight against Mark Lemon’s Young Kangaroos, for the Team Speedway Under 21 World Championship.

Host nation Australia, is an automatic seeding with other countries coming from the winners of each of the European Semi-finals and the best placed second team from the European semi-finals taking the fourth team place in the Mildura event.

Mildura Motor Cycle Club has a massive weekend itinerary planned for the end of October with

* Team Speedway U21 World Championship Official Practice                                                              incorporating a Junior 125cc & 250cc event  – Thursday 29th October from 6:30pm

* Team Speedway World U21 Rider / Team Presentation Dinner (open to public) at

Coomealla Memorial Sporting Club, Dareton      – Friday 30th October from 6:00pm

* FIM Team Speedway Under 21 World Championship – Final

at Olympic Park, Mildura     – Saturday 31st October (gates open 3:00pm)

* Family Fun Day at Johnston’s Bend and Aussie BBQ

(near speedway)      – Sunday 1st November from 3:00pm

* 2015 Phil Crump International Trophy   – Monday 2nd November

At Olympic Park, Mildura

Tickets and all matters to do with the conduct of the 2015 FIM Team Speedway Under 21 World Championship – Final, which will be held at Mildura’s famous Olympic Park Speedway on Saturday 31st October 2015, are on sale on the MMCC website at www.milduramotorcycleclub.org.au

Club administrators are pleased to announce that a full package of tickets / reserved seating / activities / entertainment / bookings / merchandise will all be available for patron’s consideration on the newly expanded Club website.

Non racing or MMCC organised activities may be interspersed with Paddle Boat tours, District Winery visits, Bus tours, Museum visits, Houseboating on the Murray or Darling Rivers, horticultural property inspection, rest and recreation at some of Mildura’s excellent Tourist attractions, local Clubs, or a leisurely drive to some of the attractions in the other district towns of Wentworth, Red Cliffs, Merbein, Irymple, Gol Gol, Trentham Cliffs and Dareton.

Speedway fans from all around the world are encouraged to visit www.milduramotorcycleclub.org.au  – survey what is available, make and pay for your selection

on-line and then make your travel arrangements and accommodation bookings, as per the recommendations of the Mildura Motor Cycle Club, Mildura Tourism or the office of the Mildura Tourist Information Service of Mildura Rural City Council.
