2015 Australian Speedway Grand Prix Sam Masters is the latest big name to join the 2016 Jason Lyons Solo trophy on Sunday January the 24th. Masters will headline the event along with Mildura Australian title round winner local Justin Sedgmen, reigning Victorian Champion Ty Proctor and former British under 21 Speedway Champ Rob Branford. Masters has been in brilliant form over the last 6 months and is fresh off narrowly missi…ng out on his maiden Australian Solo Championship by just one point to Brady Kurtz last weekend at Olympic Park. Masters also made a dream debut at the Australian Speedway Grand Prix at Etihad Staduim in October picking up 5 points and mixing it with the Worlds best. He was also invloved in a famous altercation with 3 times World Champion Nicki Pedersen were the 27,000 strong crowd erupted.
Speaking before the event Masters added “its always nice to come and ride down in mildura and especially riding in Jasons meeting hes a guy i grew up watching as a kid”. Along with the Lyons trophy field there will be strong support events with support solos and sidecars and 250cc solos all on the program to make it a exciting night of racing.
