WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TEAMS ANNOUNCED FOR MILDURA

The teams and rider line ups for the 2015 Coomealla Memorial Sporting Club FIM under 21 Team Speedway World Championship Final on Saturday October 31st have been finalised.

Reigning Champions Poland will take on home team Australia, Denmark and Germany in the first ever under 21 World Championship to be staged in Australia.

2014 Champions Poland look set to be the red hot favourites again to take the crown, they will have 2016 Speedway Grand Prix riders Piotr Pawlicki and Bartosz Zmarzlik, Pawlicki is the 2014 World under 21 Champion and Zmarzlik is the 2015 World under 21 Champion. Polands team is rounded off with 2015 Polish Speedway Grand Prix Wildcard Pawel Przedlepski and Maksym Drabik.

Denmark will be hotly favoured to test out the polish side with Captain Mikkel Michelson leading the charge, Michelson appeared as a wild card in the Speedway Grand Prix of Denamrk and is one of the hottest young talents in the World.

Michelson will be joined by Speedway World Cup Winner Mikkel Bech, Anders Thomson who was runner up in the Individual under 21 World Championship this year and Nicolaj Busk Jakobson.

The Australian team is also in with a chance of taking gold they are lead by 2015 Speedway World Cup rider Nick Morris, three times Australian under 21 Champion Max Fricke, Somerset Rebels rider Cowra’s Brady Kurtz and Plymouth Devils rider Jack Holder the younger brother of 2012 World Speedway Champion Chris. The Australian Team Manager is Merbein’s very Own Mark Lemon.

The German side is making its debut in the World under 21 Team Championship final and they are lead by 2014 World Longtrack Champion 19 year Erik Riss, Riss is joined by his brother Mark, German under 21 Champion Michael Hartel and Valentin Grobauer.

Tickets for the 2015 FIM under 21 Team Speedway World Championship on Saturday October 31st can be purchased online from www.milduramotorcycleclub.org.au or at the setts business on 8th st.
