TRELOAR GUNNING FOR GATES CUP

TRELOAR GUNNING FOR GATES CUP

The greatest sidecar export of all time Darrin Treloar with Blake Cox in the chair will be contesting the 2017 Noddy Riordans Paint and Panel Gates Sidecar Cup on Sunday November the 5th at Olympic park Speedway as part of the Mildura Motorcycle Club 70th Anniversary meeting.

Treloar has done it all in the Sidecar racing scene winning a record nine Australian Sidecar Championships, winning multiple World Championships and countless Australian state championships in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Queensland.

After being so dominant for so long last season didn’t go to plan having lost his World and Oceania Sidecar crowns to Warren Monson and Andrew Summerhayes and he’s Australian crown to Trent headland and Daz Whetstone, so no doubt Treloar and Cox will be on a mission to regain there position as the best sidecar racers going around.

There should be some classic battles between Treloar, Monson, Headland, Plaisted and Gates to just name a few. There’s only one more sidecar team to announce in the twelve rider field and they will be announced over the weekend.

Olympic Park fans are in for a real treat not only are the World Best Sidecar teams on show Australia’s bets solo riders are also featuring on the night in the 2017 GT Windscreens Phil Crump Solo Trophy where World Championship leader Jason Doyle, Australian Champion Sam Masters and local Australian number two Justin Sedgmen are all featuring.

Rider parade is at 6.30pm with main racing starting at a earlier time of 7pm.
