SIDECAR ICONS RACING IN LYND MEMORIAL A massive 27 sidecar teams nominated!
Reigning Nine times Australian Sidecar Champions Darrin Treloar and Blake Cox, Broken Hill sidecar legend’s Ricky Howse and Adam Commons and South Australian Sidecar Heavyweights Mark Plaisted and Darcy Risstrom have confirmed there participation in the 2016 LCR Frames Derek Lynd Sidecar Memorial meeting at Olympic Park Speedway on Saturday September the 17th.
Treolar the greatest sidecar export of all time and Cox had a perfect season last year taking out the Australian Championship, the Sidecar World Cup and the Oceania Sidecar Championship.
The perfect way to start the new sidecar season would be taking out the richest sidecar event in the country and they will start as firm favourites.
Broken Hills Howse and Commons are sidecar racing jounrymen, they have raced in many Australian Championships finishing 2nd in 2010 and 3rd in 2009. After a few years off with injury they have comeback and are still a strong force and still one of the fastest teams around Olympic Park.
The Plaisted and Risstrom team combined at the start of last season and started gelling well as a team towards the end of last season. Plaisted knows the fastest way around Olympic Park having won the 2013 Oceania Sidecar Championship at Mildura.
