Plaisted/Pitt Join 70th Anniversary Celebrations

Reigning Victorian Sidecar Champions Mark Plaisted and Ben Pitt are the latest high profile team to join the Mildura Motorcycle Club 70th Anniversary meeting on Sunday November the 5th at Olympic Park Speedway.

Plaisted and Pitt will start as one of the favourites to take out the Inaugural Gates Sidecar Cup in the sidecar compartment of the 70th anniversary meeting.

The relatively new team of one season had one start for one win at Olympic Park last season taking out the Victorian Sidecar Championship, Plaisted also took out the Oceania Sidecar Championship in 2013 at Olympic Park and will fancy his chances of more success in Mildura.

Plaisted and Pitt join Byren Gates and Michael O’Loughlin, Neale Hancock and Brendan Johnson and Clint Mayes and Sean Coleby as confirmed starters for the Gates Sidecar Cup with more announcements made in the next few weeks  .

The Gt Onsite Windscreens Phil Crump International Solo Trophy will also feature on the night with World Championship leader Jason Doyle, Australian Champion Sam Masters, Local Aus #2 Justin Sedgmen and International Rohan Tungate headlining the Crump Trophy.

There will be a 70th Anniversary dinner at the Coomealla Memorial Sporting Club Dareton on Monday the 6th of November where champions from today and yesteryear will be on stage plus a race jacket auction.
