Captains Look To Lead

Team Captains Mildura’s Justin Sedgmen and Australia Select’s Ty Proctor are looking forward to leading there teams out in the MACU Kitchens Mildura Vs Australia Select solo test match at Olympic Park Speedway this Saturday night.

Mildura captain Justin Sedgmen who was a vital member of the Edinburgh Monarchs championship winning teams in 2014 and 2015 in the British Premier League is no stranger to teams racing and is excited to show his younger team mates how its done.

Sedgmen added “the beauty about teams racing is that its not just about you. Its about the team and helping all your teammates get the win at the end of the night. It’s also a good opportunity for the younger guys because I know they all aspire to race in teams overseas one day”.

Australia Select Captain Ty Proctor has a wealth of experience overseas as well. Proctor was a member of the 2009 Wolverhampton side that lifted the British Elite League Speedway title against Leigh Adams’s Swindon side.

Proctor added “it’s cool to be racing in some team action again. Hopefully we can pull off the win and beat the Mildura boys on there home turf. We have a young side but they are full of potential and can certainly mix it with the Mildura boys.

There will be a small sidecar field to support the Solo test match.

Spectator gates open at 5pm with senior racing to start at 7.30pm for more information visit www.milduramotorcycleclub.org.au.
